Privacy Policy

What Anitalk stores, what its service providers receive, and the choices available to you.

Privacy PolicyTerms of UseLicense Information

This Privacy Policy explains how Anitalk, its Messages extension, and the website at anitalk.app handle information. Anitalk is provided by emonster Inc. (“emonster,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

Anitalk requires no account and displays no advertising. Its analytics events are designed not to include the raw words, symbols, or emoji you type.

Messages, creations, and iCloud

Anitalk processes the text, symbols, and emoji you enter on your device to create an animation. Recent creations and creations you save are stored as pattern strings in App Group storage shared by the main app and the Messages extension.

When iCloud is available for Anitalk, those recent and saved patterns are automatically mirrored through Apple’s iCloud Key-Value Storage. They may therefore remain available across devices connected to your Apple Account. Anitalk does not upload the raw text of your creations to an emonster-operated user-content database.

Sharing and temporary files

When you choose to share, Anitalk renders an animated PNG, GIF, or WebP file on your device. The Messages extension inserts the rendered animation into the conversation you choose. The main app can present Apple’s system share sheet so you can select another destination. Apple and the destination you select then process the shared file under their own terms and privacy practices.

App analytics and diagnostics

Anitalk creates a random app-specific UUID and stores it in the device Keychain. This pseudonymous identifier does not contain your name, email address, or Apple Account information, but it is used as the Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics user ID and the Mixpanel distinct ID. Because it is stored in Keychain, it may remain on the same device after the app is reinstalled.

App telemetry may include:

  • app version, build, platform, device family, operating-system version, locale, and locale-derived country;
  • app launches, screens and features used, preferences, help and legal-document opens, and general interaction outcomes;
  • coarse characteristics derived from a creation, such as pattern type, validity, animation state, and character, line, or frame-count ranges;
  • export and sharing format, success, cancellation, or error outcomes;
  • purchase and restore outcomes, product identifier, price or value, currency, and source surface;
  • crash reports, stack traces, error descriptions, app state, and performance or network timing.

Anitalk’s event schema converts creation content into categories and count ranges before analytics is sent. It does not intentionally include the raw text of a creation as analytics event content.

We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics, and we use Mixpanel for pseudonymous product analytics. Runtime settings delivered by Firebase Remote Config can reduce or disable telemetry routing, but the current app does not provide a user-facing analytics switch or identifier-reset control.

Catalog and configuration

Firebase Firestore supplies the available animation-pack catalog and product identifiers. Anitalk reads this catalog and keeps a local cache for reliability. Firebase Remote Config supplies operational and telemetry configuration. These services are not used to store user-authored message text.

Purchases

Optional animation packs are one-time in-app purchases processed by Apple through StoreKit and the App Store. Apple handles payment credentials, transaction records, refunds, and the Apple Account associated with a purchase. Anitalk receives product and entitlement information needed to complete a purchase, restore access, and cache owned product identifiers. We do not receive your full payment-card details.

Support and email

If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to send. The app’s support-email template can include the app name, bundle identifier, version and build, operating system, device class, locale, region, and language. You can review or remove that information before sending the email.

Website delivery and analytics

Firebase Hosting and Cloudflare deliver and protect anitalk.app. They may process technical request information needed for hosting and security, including IP address, user-agent or browser information, requested URL, timestamps, and security events.

The website uses Google Analytics 4 with measurement ID G-92EY5ZSY3V only after you select “Allow analytics.” If you do not allow it, the website does not load the Google Analytics script from our site code; withdrawing consent hard-disables the loaded tag. Anitalk’s custom analytics events exclude creator text, support-email and form content. Page location is limited to origin, path, and recognized campaign or click-attribution parameters (utm_*, gclid, dclid, gbraid, wbraid, gad_source, and gad_campaignid); referrers are limited to origin and path. Private and default site-search query keys are removed before the tag loads, while campaign values and section links remain. App Store destinations may include Apple campaign parameters, and standard Enhanced Measurement events may also be processed if enabled for the stream. See the Website Analytics Notice and use to change your choice.

How we use information

  • to operate, maintain, and improve Anitalk and its website;
  • to provide catalog, purchase, restore, export, and sharing functionality;
  • to understand feature use without receiving raw creation text as analytics content;
  • to diagnose crashes, errors, reliability, and performance issues;
  • to secure the app and website, respond to support or privacy requests, and comply with applicable obligations.

We do not use Anitalk to display targeted advertising and we do not sell user-authored message content.

Service providers and disclosure

Information is processed as needed by Google and Firebase for hosting, catalog/configuration, analytics, and diagnostics; Mixpanel for product analytics; Apple for iCloud, Messages, system sharing, StoreKit, and the App Store; and Cloudflare for website delivery and security. We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, obtain professional advice, or complete a business transaction subject to applicable requirements.

Retention, deletion, and your choices

Recent and saved patterns remain in App Group storage and, when available, your iCloud Key-Value Storage until you delete them through Anitalk or they are affected by app, device, or Apple Account changes. Deletions made through Anitalk are mirrored to iCloud. Apple may retain copies according to its own backup and service practices.

The Keychain UUID may remain on the same device after reinstalling Anitalk. Analytics, diagnostic, catalog, infrastructure, purchase, and support records are retained only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, under the applicable provider settings, operational needs, and legal obligations. Because Anitalk has no account, we may be unable to associate a privacy request with pseudonymous telemetry unless you can provide information sufficient to identify the relevant record.

You can delete recent or saved patterns in Anitalk, manage iCloud through Apple settings, choose whether and where to share, change website analytics through Cookie settings, and contact us to exercise privacy rights available where you live.

Children

Anitalk does not ask users to create an account or provide a name, email address, precise location, contacts, or profile. If you believe a child has sent personal information through a support request or another channel, contact us so we can review the request. A parent or guardian should supervise a child’s use where required by applicable law.

Security and international processing

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information. No device, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Our providers may process information in countries other than your own, subject to their terms, safeguards, and applicable law.

Changes and contact

We may update this Policy when Anitalk, its providers, or applicable requirements change. The date at the top will show the latest revision.
